Physical Therapy (PT) is an integral part of Synergy’s comprehensive approach to medical rehabilitation.  This individualized treatment regimen helps to optimize muscle control, balance, flexibility and mobility, as well as to build strength and endurance.

At Synergy Rehab Occupational Therapy (OT) is an integral part of our comprehensive approach to patient care. Occupational Therapy focuses on helping individuals develop “skills for job living”—everything from dressing and grooming to driving and working.  By applying the proven techniques and latest technologies, occupational therapists enable individuals with physical and functional challenges to achieve as much independence as possible in their daily activities.

Treatment is designed specifically for an individual’s needs following a traumatic injury, surgery, or other orthopedic or neurologic injury.  OT also offers specialized treatment for hand and upper extremity conditions, such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, tendonitis, fractures, strains/sprains and pain.

Aquatic therapy allows you the ability to enjoy the benefits of exercise without the usual associated discomfort caused by excessive stress on the joints.  You will be amazed at what you are able to accomplish in this type pf therapy.  This program is ideal for those who have swelling in joints, people who have had surgeries, and people who need the benefits of a heated pool.  Our clinicians will set up an individualized program for you which will be tailored to your individual needs and will help you return back to your previous levels of activity.  Your rehabilitation program may include a combination of land-based therapy and aqua therapy as you gain strength and stability.

  • Functional Capacity Exams (FCE)—Detailed examination and evaluation that objectively measures the evaluee’s current level of function. Depending on the need a comprehensive battery of performance based tests are used commonly to determine ability for work, activities of daily living or leisure activities.
  • Independent Medical Exams (IME)—Objective examination by a physician/therapists who has not previously been involved in a person’s care. IMEs may be conducted to determine the cause, extent and medical treatment required where liability is at issue; whether an individual has reached maximum benefit from treatment; and whether any permanent impairment remains after treatment.
  • Independent Medical Chart Reviews— Objective examination of all medical documentation by a physician/therapists who has not previously been involved in a person’s care. Chart reviews may be conducted to determine the cause, extent and medical treatment required where liability is at issue; whether an individual has reached maximum benefit from treatment; and whether any permanent impairment remains after treatment.
  • Impairment ratings—Evaluation of the permanent or partial impairment utilizing the American Medical Association Guidelines, it is a medical assessment of a claimant’s injuries represented by a percentage value.
  • Employment Functional Screens—Pre or post-employment testing to determine an applicant/employee’s ability to perform a specific physical demand of their job.
